The moth trap failed to come on last night so I went up to the observatory to see if there was any visible migration passing overhead - there wasn't! However I discovered two plants new to Keele. They were growing on disturbed ground behind the Sustainability Hub building. Both are typical plants of that habitat - Thorn Apple and Annual Nettle. The latter is similar to Common Nettle but has smaller, more deeply cut leaves and is said to have a milder sting but I didn't check that out!
