Large Yellow Underwing numbers plummeted last night after torrential rain - only 30 compared to 130 the night before!

However, the sun came out and a walk round Phase 3 was rewarding - as always. Much of the grass is dry now but there were plenty of thistles and knapweeds still in flower. Several Common Darter dragonflies were flying over the pools and a few Common Blue Damselflies too. Found a patch of Musk Mallow which was new to Keele.
