Left home in brilliant sunshine arrived at Keele in fog - can't say the UK weather is dull! Another mild night but only two moths in the trap. One was a
Peppered Moth the other the rarer
Shears Hadena plebeja - very few records of it at Keele.

Lunchtime was very warm; here are a few of the things I saw:
| Fish, probably Rudd or Roach, basking in lake 3 |
| Herb Robert |
| Nuthatch nest in the Clock House wall - note mud around the hole to make hole smaller |
| Speckled Wood |
| Wood Speedwell |
| Yellow Pimpernel |
