A damp and foggy night. The moth trap was full ....  of flies; hundreds of them but no moths. This is odd because there was a veritable snow storm of them in the headlights on my way home last night. I suspect they are all Winter Moths but why do they not go into the trap? I wonder if it's because the bulb (125W) gives out a lot of heat and this repels these weak fliers. Perhaps I need to try out a different design!
