It rained last night! A rare event these days it seems. When it does at this time of year the moth trap attracts loads of flies - they seem to like the damp conditions. Last night I had a pair of Merveille-du-Jour and a Spruce Carpet. I then walked round by the Hall to find the the ground beneath the Yew trees pink with fallen berries, washed off by the rain and wind - very impressive.
