The Buddleias outside the Library have proved very attractive to butterflies over the past week with up to 10 Red Admirals at one stage, plus Painted Lady and Small Tortoiseshell. A family of 5 Buzzards circled low over the Walled Garden while I was persuading a group of school kids about the beauty of moths - not easy when most in the trap were Large Yellow Underwings!
