Things are picking up. 20 moths last night including 2
March Moths, 3
Small Quakers, an
Oak Beauty and a
Grey Shoulder-knot. A
Chiffchaff continues to sing around the Walled Garden area. Also of note was a flock of 100
Golden Plover that flew over campus at 5pm last night.
Located the same
Golden Plover flock at lunchtime as they flew over Lymes Road - looked superb with their golden upperparts and black bellies. Getting ready to head back north. Coincidently I also found a
Grey Shoulder-knot sitting on a Ash tree along Keele Road. Not often you find moths on trunks these days.
