The University has signed up to the Green Impact initiative being organised nationally by the Students Union. It is designed to promote green awareness eg. recycling, energy conservation, lift sharing, the environment etc. As part of this each building has been asked to set up a green impact team and to follow a workbook of suggested tasks at the end of which they are awarded a bronze or silver award. One of the criteria for a bronze is to go on an arboretum walk organised by myself. So it was that today a group of 11 from Finance accompanied me for a tour. Many had never been around the lakes before - they all enjoyed it and better appreciated the fantastic campus that we have.
