Typical misty autumnal morning - great! The moth trap was full of flies. Some of our autumnal moths are amongst the nicest we get I think. The Canary-shouldered Thorn below is one such species.


The autumn sunshine encouraged a surge of Small Tortoiseshells but also Speckled Wood and Small Copper.
