Had a walk to the extremities of the campus. It was very pleasant and I managed to find a moth on a tree trunk - a rare event these days. It was a Grey Birch; a common species whose larvae feed, not surprisingly, on Birch! The last record I have for Keele is 1987 but there is little Birch in the area where I run the trap.
