20th March 2012

Low temperatures again reduced moth numbers in the trap. There were only 2 Clouded Drabs, 2 Small Quakers, 2 Common Quakers, a Hebrew Character and a March Moth. Walking down to the top lake I noticed that the Keele Hall fountain was working and it looked quite nice; there was no wind so the water cascaded well. There was not much on the lake but the Cherry Plum Prunus seracifera 'nigra' looked great against the dark lake. Work on Union Square is progressing well too.
