Iceland Gull at bottom of Keele Bank! |
Dedicated to the study and enjoyment of the flora and fauna of Keele University's extensive campus.
20th December 2011
OK, it's not strictly on Keele campus, but at lunchtime the gulls that feed on the landfill site at the bottom of Keele bank flew into the field and there was a juvenile Iceland Gull. Yes, I know it's a bit small in the view below but it's a nice bird to see so close to campus.
Work is progressing on building the new nursery, next to the the old one. Some major excavations going on! Thankfully they have protected the cherries growing round the perimeter of the site.
